The Punjab: Authentic Indian and Himalayan Cuisine in Johnston, RI

Wow! This place is great!! The momo's were cooked perfectly and the coconut curry shrimp was fantastic. The restaurant has a fairly large bar area with comfortable seating and a good drink menu.The decor is really cool and has a very warm feeling. The staff is super nice and friendly. Definitely a must try!

Today was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to expect but this place was delicious. The menu is a little different than many Indian restaurants and that's the part I really appreciate. There is a Himalayan section and seafood (including fish). So whether you are vegan, vegetarian, keto or have no preference there is something for you. The service was very good and our server was very accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxed with traditional music playing at the perfect volume. I will be back and suggest you come and enjoy too!

wow. just wow. my husband and i love indian food, he was a chef for many years and we are total foodies. i always forget to write reviews, but had to make sure i gave these guys the credit they deserved. we were so impressed with this place, and multiple times throughout our meal we said “this is our new place, we’re coming here all the time”. everything was so fresh, tasted incredibly and obviously there is a lot of love that goes into every dish. will be coming back a LOT.

My wife and I have gotten takeout from this place a few times and it’s been outstanding. Tonight we decided to dine in and we were just blown away at the atmosphere. It’s very nice clean inside and authentic feeling. The food is always amazing. This is the hidden gem that everyone should know about. The lamb vindaloo will knock your socks off!

I had a great time here! The Chicken Curry was delicious and the Chicken Momos were a perfect appetizer. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I hope to be back again soon!

I recently visited an Indian-Nepalese restaurant in Rhode Island and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the Paneer Jhol Momos, Yellow Dal, and Kadai Paneer—and everything was flavorful and satisfying. The service was warm and attentive. The highlight for me was definitely the Paneer Jhol Momos -- they were absolutely delicious! The rich, spiced broth paired perfectly with the soft, savory momos. I would come back just for those! Overall, a great spot for authentic Indian-Nepalese flavors. Highly recommend!

The punjab has become our go to spot for delicious indian food. We've gone mutliple times in the past year and have never been disappointed. It's always surprising to not see the restaurant packed. Our favorites are the chicken korma, chicken tikka masala and the cheese naans. Love the cozy vibe and the very kind service. At our last visit, we had the mojitarita *chef's kiss*

The service was exceptional, the food and vibes were amazing. I went with my boyfriend and we got 2 raspberry coconut martinis, which were sooo good! It was just a quick stop but we stayed a while because we felt so comfortable. The food came out at a timely manner as well. For food, we got vegetable and lamb samosas (the sauces they give you are a great touch) and I got the tikki pizza while my boyfriend got the butter chicken. Again, both were great. I would definitely go visit again!!
